To determine the proportion of asbestos fibers in a specific building material, a sample of the material must be collected by an Illinois-licensed Asbestos Inspector. Each sample is documented on a ‘chain-of-custody’ form and examined by the accredited laboratory. The results are later submitted to the inspector who analyze the results and sends a consolidated report to the customer.
